Roadsafe 5km Run/Walk

We’d like to welcome the best traffic management providers in the game, Roadsafe Traffic Management, as the official partner of the 5km run/walk at this year’s Taupo Marathon event!

This is a very scenic out-and-back course along the lakefront, with amazing views of the lake and snow-covered mountains.

Note: At 9.35am, there will be an event briefing, please make sure you are present.

General Course Information

All courses are marshalled and signposted. The courses are not suitable for wheelchairs and all entrants must complete the same course. Major road intersections are controlled by traffic management, other intersections are controlled by marshals. Please watch out for traffic and obey marshals at all times.

No dogs on the course please! Supporters and spectators must not accompany runners and walkers at any stage during the event

It is suggested children 11 and under run/walk with a parent or guardian.

If you are entered in the “walk” category for this event, you must walk the entire course. If you are planning on running at any stage, you should enter the “run” category.
